There are several reasons why you need to have a contract in place with all of your vendors:
- Because IT is totally evolving many of these vendors continually update their applications.
- These updates are security and enhancements to the applications. If you don’t have a support agreement with you will not be able to get these updates.
- These vendors see the same issue again and again and again. When troubleshooting we won’t know a simple fix such as click this or unclick that.
- And the most important reason is that because they will access to your private patient information, they need to sign a business associate agreement.
